At The Beginning

How about spending half year abroad?

The name of the blog Six Months Away suggests that I, as well as the readers of the website, can expect many an adventure, unique experience and most of all a lot of unexpected surprises. Now, I assume that two basic questions have arisen in your minds – why and how.

I will attempt to answer the question of how throughout the year 2017 – my travel itinerary is mostly unsure and those destinations that are certain will be revealed bit by bit.

As I am not a trust fund baby and have to work, so I had to look for ways to adjust my travels to this fact and travelling for six months seems on first glance, only hardly reachable opportunity.

Also, I will have to slowly find an answer to the question how starting tomorrow – 12th January 2017 – when my new life journey to the unknown is beginning.

What I do know though, is why – I will gradually reveal my reasons that have led me and keep leading me to half year of travelling and also a reason why this life experience is a breaking point for myself, and why now is the perfect time to pursue it.

You are probably skeptical now and saying that this is a very courageous venture, a complete fling, or utter nonsense. No, I really don´t mean to upset anybody or to turn you against me, nor do I want to prove something to myself or to show off that I can afford it… which I sometimes also doubt and my closest friends think I´m nuts.

You may also wonder why I have started this blog. One of the reasons was that while spending a lot of time travelling and being abroad everyone wants to keep in touch with their family, preferably by the most natural means – phone calls, visits, Skype calls, etc. I have made a decision to go for the most personal and unique way which I feel suits me best and which I have been working on in my free time, i.e., writing.

I have made a decision to change my life and to share a few moments of it with you this way. Now is the evening of 11th January 2017 and a new stage of my life can start.
